OFFENSE OBP .342 14th. Jason Varitek is a plus offensive catcher but not great his .360 obp is a nice asset and he has a little power. Derek Lee had a poor
power year but still has a .400 obp Dan Uggla had at 2b has 31 HRs.
Jimmy Rollins at SS also has 30 hrs. Troy Glaus can really hit lefties as
well. This could be the first time that the whole infield has Ex power against
lefties. As good as the infield is the outfield is No one has more than 14
HR's unless you count Jack Cust as an outfielder, but you might get a better defensive
effort from an infielder or catcher even.

STARTING PITCHING ERA 4.34 16th Wandy Rodriguez has the best r/9 with 12.1
and no other starter is under 13. Offenses will get fat against this rotation.
All the gambles that were taken last year just did not pan out. Really bad
luck for this team who drafted 10 projected starters last year.

RELIEF PITCHING I wasn't a huge Paplebon fan but looking at last years numbers its not a surprize that the Redsox won the World Series. 7.6 runners per nine
innings and 13 k's per game as well. When the this team is leading after 8
they are porbably going to win. Scott Schields had a down year for him but
he still struck out one per inning and only one HR every 11 innings pitched, righties
having an awful time lifting the ball as they only slugged .270 against him. The
rest of the bullpen is medicre at best. RATING 4
CATCHING Jason Varitek is no longer in his prime but he does a fine job
at the plate and behind the plate. Matt Treanor is a nice backup.

DEFENSE Fld% .986 3rd Every infield position is above average when it comes to
fielding percentage though Dan Uggla is below average range. Melky Cabrera is the defensive highlight on the team
with a Vg range and arm. If Hall is
playing CF that is a problem Stewart is a bit better. On a side note the part
timer Rick Ankiel has an Ex arm. RATING 6.5
MANAGMENT Rookie Paul Wickham, not to be confused with Ralph Wigham, is not much
a rookie despite this being his first year, he has played PTP in the past.
His picks were in early and he looks to get a high rating soon as for now I can
only rate him on one month's work. RATING 6.5
